How we calculate
This is an estimate, not an audit. It runs entirely in your browser from your answers plus the assumptions below. We pick the cautious end on purpose and show a low–high range.
Public research we lean on
- Leads contacted within 5 minutes qualify about 60% of the time, versus about 15% when the reply takes 4 hours (CustomerFlows 2026 lead response study).
- About 62% of calls to small businesses go unanswered, and about 85% of those callers never call back (SwiftAppLab 2026).
- The average online cart abandonment rate is about 70% (Baymard Institute).
- A one-star increase in rating is linked to roughly 5–9% more revenue (Harvard Business School).
Service businesses
- Win rate when answered fast (enquiry to paying customer): real estate 3%, clinic/dental 30%, restaurant/cafe 40%, salon/spa 35%, agency/B2B 10%, other 15%. Potential revenue = enquiries × win rate × deal value.
- Reply speed: your chance of winning a lead compared with a 5-minute reply: under 1 hour 75%, 1–4 hours 50%, same day 35%, next day 25%. These are gentler than the study above (which implies 25% at just 4 hours).
- After hours: enquiries that arrive outside working hours wait until morning, so we treat them as a "same day" reply at best.
- Recoverable share: automation won't win back every lost lead, so only 30% (low) to 60% (high) of the speed-related loss counts as a leak.
- Missed follow-ups (real estate, agency, other): automatic follow-ups add 4–8% to current sales if you already use WhatsApp, 6–12% if you don't (our assumption).
- No-shows (clinic, salon, restaurant): 10–15% of bookings no-show, and reminders prevent 30–50% of them (our assumption).
- Reviews: regular review requests lift a rating by about 0.2–0.3 stars, valued with the Harvard 5–9% per star figure, so 1–2.7% of current sales.
Online stores
- Abandoned carts: your rate, or 70% (Baymard) if you don't know it. Reminders recover 3–5% of abandoned carts at your average order value (our assumption).
- COD refusals: 10–20% of cash-on-delivery orders are refused, and WhatsApp confirmation before shipping prevents 30–50% of those (our assumption).
- Unanswered pre-sale questions: 0.2–0.4 questions per order, a quarter of askers buy when answered fast, then the same reply-speed, after-hours and recoverable-share rules as above. If you have no COD orders, the review lift replaces the COD leak.
Safety limits
- The total leak is never shown above 40% of your potential revenue (or monthly order revenue for stores). If the maths says more, every leak is scaled down to fit.
- Amounts are rounded. Package prices are my real starting prices in USD; you get a fixed quote after a short call.
Good to know
What is a revenue leak?
Money you should have earned but lost to fixable gaps: slow replies, messages that arrive after hours and wait until morning, leads nobody follows up, no-shows, abandoned carts and COD orders refused at the door.
How accurate is it?
It's an estimate, not an audit. It uses your numbers plus cautious, published assumptions, shows a low–high range and never claims more than 40% of your potential revenue.
Do you store my numbers?
The estimate runs in your browser. Your numbers are only sent if you ask for the full blueprint, and then they go only to me, with your name and email, so I can reply with advice.
How do automations fix it?
n8n workflows reply to every enquiry on WhatsApp or email in seconds, cover after-hours messages, send follow-ups and reminders, recover carts, confirm COD orders and ask for reviews.
What does fixing it cost?
One workflow starts at $199 (Starter), 3–4 connected workflows at $599 (Business), the optional care plan is $79/month, and a new website with automation built in starts at $899.
