Website speed optimisation
by a freelance developer.

I'm Inshaal Shahid, a freelance front-end developer who fixes slow WordPress, Shopify and custom websites for businesses in the UK, Europe, the US and the Gulf, improving Core Web Vitals with image, font, script and caching fixes. Speed optimisation starts from $80 and usually takes 2–4 working days.

01 — Cost

How much does website speed optimisation cost?

Speed optimisation with me starts from $80. The final price depends on how much needs fixing, and the cost calculator shows a typical range of $80–200 for an existing site. You get a fixed quote before any work starts.

02 — Timeline

How long does it take?

Most speed jobs take 2–4 working days. You get before and after PageSpeed scores so you can see exactly what changed.

03 — Scope

What's included?

Image, font, script and caching fixes on your existing site, checked against Google's Core Web Vitals. These are the fixes I apply:

  • Images converted to WebP, sized per screen with srcset and lazy-loaded below the fold
  • Unused plugins, apps and CSS removed, non-critical scripts deferred
  • Fonts hosted locally, only the weights in use, the main one preloaded
  • Fixed dimensions for images and embeds so nothing jumps (CLS)
  • Chat widgets and videos loaded only when needed
  • Caching, compression and a CDN such as Cloudflare

04 — Core Web Vitals

What are Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals are three numbers Google uses to judge how a page feels: LCP (main content appears in 2.5 seconds or less), INP (the page reacts to a tap within 200 milliseconds) and CLS (layout shift of 0.1 or less). Orange or red scores mean visitors are feeling the slowness.

05 — Free check

How can I check my site's speed for free?

Run my free speed check, which uses Google PageSpeed Insights on mobile and desktop and explains the results in plain English. For SEO, accessibility and AI visibility as well, use the free website audit.

06 — Why a freelancer

Why hire a freelancer instead of an agency?

You talk directly to the developer making the fixes, and you pay for the work rather than account management. I reply within 24 hours, give a fixed quote and include 2 weeks of free support after the job.

07 — Packages

What are the options for speeding up my site?

Starting prices in USD. You get a fixed quote after a short call, before any work begins.

10 — FAQ

Questions, answered.

No honest developer can guarantee an exact score, because hosting and third-party scripts also play a part. You get before and after PageSpeed scores so you can see exactly what improved.

Yes. Heavy themes, page builders and too many plugins or apps are among the most common causes of slow sites, and I fix them on WordPress, Shopify and custom-coded sites.

The fixes are under the hood: images, code, fonts, scripts and caching. Your design should look the same, just load faster and stop jumping around.

Not always. Caching, compression and a CDN such as Cloudflare often help a lot, but if the server itself is very slow to respond, I'll tell you plainly.

Not when they're built well. I build scroll animations with GSAP that animate only transform and opacity, and respect the visitor's reduced-motion setting.

Most people won't wait for a slow website; they go back to a competitor. Speed also feeds into how Google ranks your pages.

Send me your website link on WhatsApp or through the contact form. I'll run a speed check, explain what's slowing it down and send a fixed quote, usually within 24 hours.
